I’ve loved you for almost a minute.
I approached you
But you just turned to talk to her.
A second later you were through
With her and life.
I talked you out of your slow suicide,
After that I never got a ‘thank you’
I think you just wanted to go and hide.
An hour later you came and showed me your cuts
And I fixed them right up.
You stayed for awhile
But left with a grin.
A day later you came and said
‘I’ve loved you from the first minute I saw you
But I’m ending this life
With a simple kitchen knife.’
I couldn’t do much
You didn’t even listen the first time
So why should I give it a second try.
So you took the knife and slit away,
I stood there watching with tears flowing down me face.
You left without a trace,
And it’s only a year later and I’ve already forgotten your face.
So the moral of this tale
Is never even try the first time, there just going to leave you anyway.
